Awana

Realizing that today’s children are confronted with more difficult decisions than ever before, Awana’s Bible based program seeks to establish them on a firm Biblical foundation that will provide direction in their daily lives. Each clubber is very special to us and to God. Awana presents an opportunity for your child to establish and grow in his/her relationship with God and to build self-esteem and good relationships with others.

Wednesdays | Ages 3 – 5th Grade
During the Wayne County School Year | 6:20 PM - 8:00 PM

Awana is our midweek discipleship program designed to help children grow in their knowledge of God and develop a lasting faith in Jesus Christ. Rooted in 2 Timothy 2:15, Awana stands for “Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed”—encouraging kids to know, love, and serve the Lord with confidence.

Each evening includes three engaging segments:
Game Time – High-energy activities that build teamwork and excitement
Handbook Time – Small-group interaction focused on Scripture memory and understanding
Large Group Time – Worship, teaching, and messages that reinforce biblical truth

Through fun, fellowship, and faith-building activities, Awana equips children with a strong spiritual foundation.

Ages 3 - 5

Cubbies is the Awana Club for preschoolers, ages three and four. Cubbies uses the fundamental Awana elements of games and activities, Bible memorization, handbooks, and awards.

Kindergarten, 1st & 2nd Grade

Each club meeting has three parts. In Game Time, Sparkies enjoy entertaining games played on the Awana Game Circle. During Council Time, Sparkies gather for their age-appropriate Bible lesson. During Handbook Time, clubbers recite Bible verses from memory, complete handbook sections, and earn awards.
